1. About these terms
This website is operated by Ehize Odukoya, operating as LOJ Legal Services, a Licensed Paralegal practice at 4500 Blakie Rd, Unit 110, London, ON N6L 1G5, Canada. Ehize Odukoya is a Licensed Paralegal, licensed by the Law Society of Ontario (Law Society number P20196). By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
2. General information, not legal advice
The content of this website is general information about the services we offer and the courts and tribunals we appear in. It is not legal advice, and it may not reflect the latest changes in the law or the facts of your situation. Please do not act, or decide not to act, on the basis of anything on this website without getting advice about your own circumstances.
3. Contacting us does not make you a client
Sending an enquiry, booking a consultation, or calling or emailing us does not create a paralegal-client relationship. We act for you only once we have confirmed in writing that we are able to, usually through a retainer agreement setting out the work and the fees.
Before we can act for anyone, we must check that doing so would not create a conflict of interest. Until we have confirmed that we can act for you, please do not send us confidential information. Information you send before then may not be protected in the way a client’s information is, and receiving it does not prevent us from acting for someone else in the same matter.
4. What a Licensed Paralegal can do
Licensed paralegals in Ontario may provide legal services only within the scope of practice set by the Law Society of Ontario. The services described on this website are offered within that scope. If your matter falls outside it, we will tell you and, where we can, suggest where to turn.
The outcome of any legal matter depends on its facts and on the decision of the court or tribunal. Nothing on this website is a promise or guarantee of any result.
5. Booking a consultation
Online bookings are made through Cal.com, a scheduling service. A booking is a request until we confirm it by email, and we may need to rearrange or decline it, for example if a conflict check means we cannot act. When we confirm, we will send you a link to our intake form, which is hosted by CosmoLex, to complete before the consultation. We will tell you before the consultation whether there is any fee for it. To change or cancel a booking, use the link in your confirmation email, or contact us by phone or email. If your matter has a deadline only days away, please call rather than book online.
6. Other websites and services
This website links to, and loads features from, services run by other companies, including Cal.com for booking, Google Maps for the office map, and LinkedIn. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content or how they operate.
7. Content on this website
The text, design, logo and crest on this website belong to LOJ Legal Services or are used with permission. You may view, print and share pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. Please do not copy or republish the content for any other purpose without our written permission.
8. Using the website properly
Please do not misuse the website: for example, by sending unsolicited or automated messages through the enquiry form, trying to get unauthorized access to it, or interfering with how it works.
9. Accuracy and availability
We work to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that it always is, or that the website will always be available or free from errors.
10. Our liability
To the extent permitted by law, LOJ Legal Services is not liable for any loss arising from use of this website or reliance on its general information. This does not limit our responsibilities to anyone we act for, which are governed by our retainer agreement and our professional obligations to the Law Society of Ontario, and it does not limit any liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Privacy
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
13. Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you have any questions about them, contact us by email at [email protected] or by phone on 1-877-295-9675.
